i love magic tricks and need to learn some. but please put it in clear letters and tell me tricks for which i don’t need to use snake fangs or something. Do u get it? i just need some new magic tricks

Ah, magic tricks is a great hobby of mine. I love when people go “Wow! Omg, how did you do that?!” Haha. Ahem… anyway. I prefer card magic so I think I’ll teach you a card trick. (Also, you should go on youtube and watch some David Blaine Street Magic clips, he’s really good!)

First you prestack the deck like this:
Top of the Deck:
Queen of Hearts
Ace of Spades
Queen of Diamonds

Bottom:
Ace of Clubs

1. First you hold the deck in face down and flip over the top card to show the Queen of Hearts and make a note of it. Then flip it back down.
2. You tell them to make a fist where their thumb rests on top of your index finger. (Like the hand thing George Bush does when he’s giving a speech)
3. You take the Queen of Hearts off the deck and tell them to clip the card with their thumb and index finger so it’s parallel to the ground.
4. When they have it, you have to prepare for a double lift. (When you pick up 2 cards as one)
5. You then ask “What card do you have”. They’ll give their guess and after you tell them to check. They will see it’s the Queen of Hearts.
6. You flip over the double lifted card to show the queen of diamonds with the ace of spades hidden under it. You asked them what card that is and then flip it back face down on top of the deck.
7. You take the top card (ace of spades) face down and say “Watch, I’m gonna switch the cards so fast, you wont even see it”.
8. Take the ace of spades, still faced down, and kinda jab it between the “victims” thumb and the card they are holding. (Don’t let go)
9. You say “See, you have the card back again” They will turn their hand over to check again and then have a face kind of like. -.-lll. But it’s okay if they don’t check
10. You then say “Watch, I’ll show you how I do it”. You take the face down Ace of spades and line it up over the card they are hold and then take the bottom one.
11. Take it and turn it face up over the the “victims” hand (to stop him/her from looking at the card you gave them) and say “See, now I have the queen of hearts.”
12. Face the Queen of hearts down and do the little jab we did in Step 8 again.
13. Now say “Without looking, what card do you think you have in your hand”
14. When they are talking and looking at you, slyly switch the queen in your hand with the card on the bottom of the deck (Ace of Clubs) and then put it over the card they are holding.
15. They will answer “Queen of Diamonds”.
16. You then ask “Would you be impressed if I switch the order of the cards?”
17. They will answer.
18. You will then act mysterious and wave your hand over the 2 face down cards and then tell him/her to flip them over,
19. To their amazement, they will be holding 2 aces.
20. If they start screaming and freaking out, let them, keep your mouth closed so the drama builds.

Yah, that’s a trick I learned from watching David Blaine on Youtube. It’s a good trick and you will get a good scream out of it. I can’t stress how much you should practice your double lifts, switches, and dialogue. Practice makes perfect. I hope my explanation was detailed enough. you dont see the back of his hand and i saw his thumb go behind his hand so that could be it but im not sure how he could of kept it there

Question by huilongz: Enquiry on coin trick?
hi all, basically this coin trick is done with a coin laying heads on one hand. thereafter the other hand slaps into the other hand. under normal circumstances, the tails should now be face up on the other hand but it is revealed to be the heads that is face up instead.

Does anyone know the name of this coin trick and how it is done?

My brother and I used to do it when we were kids. This will take a bit of practice but what you will do is place the coin in you predominate hand. {PDH} Hold the coin in the center of your palm and hold both hands out palms up. Take your PDH and give it an upward push and when you do turn your hand over. This will leave the coin in the air and when the PDH comes down on it it is still heads up and will be slapped into the other hand. Hope this explains it for you. Contact me if it doesn’t.

I’m a huge fan of magic and I was trying to do that trick where there’s a coin in your hand then it disappears and ends up in the other hand, or behind some ones ear?

If you know what I’m talking about could you please tell me how it is done.

they actually just transfer the coin to the other hand & hide the coin between two fingers, close to the palm. you need to do it very quickly & practice hiding it while distracting the audience/viewer — keeping their gaze fixed on the first hand. make motions with your hands [abracadarbra, etc...] to distract them.
with a little bit of practice, this should be an easy trick to perform.

Ok how do you do the coin trick where you put three coins in someones hand and they sloe it into a fist and you get one of the coins into your hand?

All you have to d is give the illusion of putting three in your hand. Secretly put two in there hand and keep one. Sleight of hand. You have to practice.

Cut the deck in half.
Take 5 cards and lay them out in an “X”
Tell the other person to pick one up and remember it, then put it back. (Remember which one is picked)
Then take one half of the deck and hold it.
Take one card from the five on the table and place it on the deck so that it is hanging halfway off the edge of the deck. (Hard to explain)
Then take a card from the other deck and place it on the deck in your hand so that is even with deck cards but not with the one you picked out of the five.
Repeat.
Then repeat again *MAKING SURE THAT THE THIRD CARD PICKED IS THE ONE THAT THE OTHER PERSON PICKED*
Then repeat until the five cards are gone.
Then take the deck not in your hand and place it on the deck in your hand, even with all but the five cards.
The deck should have 47 cards even with themselves, while the other 5 are sticking halfway out of the deck.
Pick up the deck so that your thumb is on the left side, your middle finger is on the right, and the knuckle is placed on the back of the deck, putting pressure, not too much, but just enough on the back. Make sure the face of the cards are facing the person.
Then, strike the deck down on the table so that the five cards push through and switch sides. Then flip deck over and do again.
Then flip deck over and do again.
This time you say “and your card is” and do the thing once more.
The card that is pushed out of the deck is the card the person picked.
This is not as confusing as it seems. Just do a little practice and it will look really cool.

Question by swalker5037: Does anyone know any good do-it-yourself illusions? (Preferably relatively simple, easy to learn tricks.)?
My cousin is 15 and has been greatly inspired by Chris Angel and other illusionists. He is getting very good at slight of hand, performing coin and card tricks, and also a minor levitation. He performed for me yesterday and I was very impressed, but he is looking to expand his repitoire. (He says he is interested in performing at birthday parties, graduations, etc. but wants to have at least a 30 minute show consisting of various illusions.

if anyone knows of any interesting magic tricks or illusions, or any websites with suggestions, tips, or instructions, i would love the input. I’ll forward it along to my cousin, and when he gets famous, I’ll send you his autograph!!!

My dad once took the tip of his thumb off and instantly stuck it back on again. But I can’t tell you how he did it.
I can full a fuzz ball out of a hat though!
