Card Tricks: An Introduction

Do you believe card tricks are tough? Well you should reconsider that belief. Magic is for the most part, simple. Certainly there are many methods and theoretical formulas that are challenging to the intellect and the fingers, but in the main, most of the finest card tricks are effortless. In this article I'd like to expose the two biggest obstacles to learning how to be a good magician who specializes in card tricks.

There are some things that make card tricks complicated for people just getting started. One obstacle that the beginner has to conquer is how to demonstrate a card trick well and interestingly. This is a major topic and this series of articles will set aside a significant amount of time to the subject of presenting your card tricks. Stated more specifically, I'll explain to you how to create your own original and individual routines. Ultimately you will be pleased that you took the time to come up with your own magical presentations, and so will your audience. Read the rest of this entry »

Card Tricks for you ...

Check out these card tricks images:

12) all tricks played; Bitch is flipped card tricks
Image by KevinHutchins314 After completing the twenty-four tricks contested on the table, they flip the Bitch over to reveal the two tierces which are awarded to the co-defenders who collaborated against the contractor. The contractor bid "GUARD AGAINST" the Bitch, which is a hextuple gambling risk (multiplying the rewards and punishments by six). Titanomaxia: Table number 40, Deal number 6. The amazingly queer game of TITAN WIZARD DEMON teledildonix.blogspot.com/2010/10/01-shamen-visioning-cam…

11) INITIATION; first trick Table 40 Deal 6 card tricks
Image by KevinHutchins314 The Initiation is one of the three loci of Titanomaxia, along with the Prognostication and the Destiny. It involves the first card entered into the first trick, and generally continues until the tempo is changed when the other side takes the lead away. Here is the Initiation from Table number 40, Deal number 6: No mention of "Slam"; lead will go normally. Initiate (PeaceDancer): no Handful. Open with "earth 7". Medium (Sphinxter): no Handful. Follow with "earth 5". Dealer (Twinz): no Handful. Tricking with "Ω Archon of earth". The lead is immediately usurped, the tempo changes, and the Initiation only involved the first tierce on the table. Card correspondences: 7 of Disks is a card of "petrifaction" and stiffening hard; it is a kind of hard-on card. 5 of Pentacles is a card of "introspection" and worrisomely tight penetrations; it's a kind of butthole card. Ω Archon of earth is the Warlock of the Pentacles who represents health and bodily powers; he's kind of a hot fucker with some amazing expertise. So that's quite a sexy tierce for our Initiation: the Hard-On, the ButtHole, and the Warlock. Way to go, vegi-shamen! teledildonix.blogspot.com/2010/10/01-shamen-visioning-cam…

Robert Fox amuses — 4 magic tricks
Image by ZeHawk Robert Fox, a magician performs magic tricks on our cruise boat. In this series he made spoons and forks bend simply by having people blow on them! The lady blows on the steel fork, and it bends in front of our eyes. The fork is not a trick fork, but one that he picked up from the table. Quite a incredible act. Before performing the trick, he passed the fork around and everybody tested that it could not be bent by hand.

An Easy Disappearing Coin Act

Invisible coin tricks are a great, easy way to entertain kids at a party. To make a coin disappear, hold any small coin on the right fingertips. Bend your left arm, putting the hand near the left ear. Place the coin on the left elbow, cover it with the right fingers, and rub it with a circular motion.

"Did you know that if you rub a coin against your elbow like this, it becomes smaller and smaller?" As you say this, lift your fingers slightly and allow the coin to drop to the floor as though accidentally.

"It'll never work if I do that." Bend down and pick up the coin with the fingers of the left hand. Pretend to transfer the coin from the left to the right hand, but actually retain it in the left fingers. You simply place the left fingers on the right palm, close the right hand, and return immediately to your original position, left hand near the ear, right hand on the elbow. Don't feel guilty about this action and don't do it too fast; that will only create suspicion. Just do it naturally.

Continue rubbing the right fingers against the elbow. Meanwhile, the left fingers secretly push the coin into your left ear. "This rubbing gradually wears the coin away until it becomes very thin." Read the rest of this entry »

There's Magic in the Cards for Expert Insight

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB)

Expert Insight (EI) and Stephane Vanel, champion card magician, have just released an exciting new instructional DVD entitled "Card Trick Magic with Stephane Vanel".

In this DVD, Stephane performs 12 amazing card tricks and then reveals the secrets with in-depth lessons in the EI Studios. This DVD is also packed with special bonus features, like Stephane's 7 Presentation Tips, that teach viewers the basics of great card magic.

This new title marks the fourth subject in the Expert Insight library of instructional DVDs. Company founder and CEO, Phil Gordon, says "After watching Stephane perform at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and then speaking to him about magic, I knew we had to sign him."

With this DVD, Vanel joins the team of other EI world-class experts such as Phil Gordon (Final Table Poker), Jim Furyk & Fred Funk (Short Game Golf) and Andy Bloch (Beating Blackjack).

Stephane began practicing magic at the age of seven and became a world champion in 2001. His decision to create an instructional DVD was inspired by his desire to help others overcome shyness and obtain the same sense of confidence that magic provided to him. Stephane says "When I was younger, I was extremely bashful. Magic offered the ultimate ice breaker, and as I learned new tricks, it became easier for me to meet new friends."

Stephane is well-known in the magic community as a respected peer and friend to the biggest names in magic including David Copperfield, Lance Burton, Criss Angel and David Blaine. Stephane's American popularity is rapidly growing thanks to viewers on MySpace and YouTube. Recently, one of his tricks was featured on the homepage of MySpace.com, and Stephane's videos received over 100,000 views in just hours.
